Woodland Wanders

Woodland Wanders

Woodland wanders enable us to take the children outside to explore the natural world and stimulates the children's desire to learn and discover natures’ riches enhancing creative and imaginative play.

Embracing the outdoors

By embracing the outdoors as an inspirational learning environment, we can focus on the learning needs of the child rather than specific outcomes. Regular experience and exploration of the natural world is a unique way to build confidence, boost self-esteem, learn new life skills and promote independence through hands on learning experiences.
We have been doing some sessions with the children, such as:
  • Mini Beast Hunting
  • Den Building
  • Charcoal Mark Making
  • Climbing
  • Bird Watching
  • Making Mud Soup
  • Using Faces
  • Using Tools
"Staff provide a rich range of first-hand experiences to help children learn about the natural world."
